Mas o Menos ("More or Less") is a party trivia game built around a single, surprisingly fun idea: you almost never know a percentage exactly, but you can usually tell whether a friend's guess is too high or too low. One player reads a percentage question out loud — "What percentage of the world's population lives in the Northern Hemisphere?" — and locks in their best estimate. Everyone else then votes whether the real figure is more or less than that guess. The answer is revealed with a short fun fact, points are awarded, and play passes to the next person. Games run for as many rounds as you choose, and whoever has the most points at the end wins.

It works for 1 to 10 players, takes about a minute to teach, and needs nothing but the people in the room. Because you are betting on direction rather than recalling a hard number, everyone stays in every round — there is no "I don't know this one" moment where a player checks out.

How to play

  1. Guess the percentage. The current player reads the question and enters their best estimate from 0 to 100. There is no penalty for being wrong, so committing to a real number beats hedging.
  2. Others vote More or Less. Every other player decides, at the same time, whether the true answer is higher or lower than that guess. Voting simultaneously means there is no advantage to going last.
  3. Reveal the answer. The real percentage and a fun fact are shown, and the app compares the guess and every vote against it.
  4. Earn points. The guesser earns up to 3 points depending on how close they landed — an exact match is worth the full 3. Everyone else earns 1 point for a correct More or Less vote.

Two ways to play

Pass-and-play hands one phone around the room and needs no internet connection once the game has loaded. Each player takes the device for their turn to guess, then passes it on while everyone else votes. This is the mode for a dinner table, a road trip, or a living room where everyone is together.

Online multiplayer lets everyone play from their own device. One player creates a free account and hosts a room, the app generates a short room code, and friends join that code from the Join screen wherever they are. Every player answers the same round at the same time from their own screen, so nobody waits for a phone to come around.
